Nature, in its quiet resilience, offers us endless beauty, shelter, and sustenance, asking nothing in return. Its serene wonders continue to serve humanity selflessly, reminding us of a grace that exists beyond expectation or reward." — Dr. Mohammad Ali Reza Khan

Books and Publications
I have authored over 24 books and numerous publications focused on wildlife conservation and natural history, with several works published by Dubai Municipality, including Wild Cats of the UAE, Birds of Dubai and Indigenous Trees of the UAE. My research spans ornithology, wildlife ecology, and biodiversity, contributing significantly to our understanding of species in the UAE and Bangladesh. My work aims to bridge knowledge and inspire conservation efforts, reflecting in over 50 academic articles and field guides that cover species diversity, ecosystem health, and sustainable conservation practices. Each publication reflects my dedication to sharing the wonders of wildlife with the world.
Some of my most cherished achievements involve recording unique bird and plant species in the UAE. I discovered the Oriental Acridocarp (Acridocarpus orientalis), known locally as Qafas, in the isolated Wadi Tarabat near Jebel Hafit in Al Ain, along with the Giant Skipper Butterfly, whose larvae feed exclusively on this plant. Another highlight was spotting a Franklin’s Gull on Fujairah Port Beach in 2011, marking only the sixth recorded sighting outside its North American range. More recently, I captured the elusive Radde’s Accentor at Wadi Shees Park in Sharjah, a rare bird that hadn’t been photographed in the UAE before. Each of these discoveries holds a special place in my journey as a conservationist.
